Pastoral Course

Academic Excellence Under the Authority of the Local Church

RTS believes that the local church is responsible for training leaders (Titus 1:5) and that separating theological study from church life is detrimental. Therefore, the Pastoral Course aims to train men at the highest theological, exegetical, and ministerial level under the authority and supervision of the local church.

With a focus on exegesis (Greek and Hebrew) and Pastoral Ministry, students will receive all the necessary tools to serve as pastors and apply RBC’s Philosophy of Ministry in their local communities.

Distinctive feature

Ministerial Curriculum

From the very beginning of the program, students will be immersed in the life of the church, experiencing Redemption Baptist Church’s Philosophy of Ministry. Extracurricular activities will provide a rich ministerial experience, including regular participation in worship services, oversight and planning of church events, pastoral visits to the sick and needy, leadership meetings (both for spiritual and administrative matters), and involvement in property management tasks (renovations, repairs, budgeting, and team coordination). These experiences, totaling approximately 150 hours per semester, will be counted as ministerial internship hours.

Additionally, in line with the principles of classical education, students will take part in extracurricular meetings dedicated to discussing pastoral praxis—an essential component of RTS’s training, as the program is fully developed under the guidance of the local church.
